Technical Analysis Terms

Up/Down Volume Ratio
A 50-Day ratio of a stock's daily Up-Volume to daily Down-Volume. This ratio is calculated by dividing the total volume on days when a stock closed Up by the total volume on days it closes Down. Readings of 1.0 and greater denote Accumulation (Bullish), while readings under 1.0 signal Distribution (Bearish).

Moving Averages
Moving Average analysis is done by calculating the percentage that the stock's price is either over or under the specified Simple Moving Average (MA). This calculation is computed for the 50-Day and 200-Day Simple Moving Average.

Support/Resistance Ranges
Support/Resistance ranges are areas of price congestion where the stock found support or experienced resistance, respectively.

Today's Stock Performance

Market Cap = When a company has a single class of stock (i.e. common stock), Market Cap is calculated by multiplying the total shares outstanding (TSO) by the stock's closing price.

In instances where a company has issued more than one class of stock (i.e. warrants, class B), Market Cap represents the sum total of the respective market values (TSO * closing price) for each class of stock. This calculation provides a more comprehensive valuation of the company as a whole.

Peer Performance - Percent Change Calculations

The data items in these particular fields are calculated as follows:

1-Mo %Ch = The percentage price change based on today's closing price and the preceding 20 trading days.

3-Mo %Ch = The percentage price change based on today's closing price and the preceding 60 trading days.

YTD %Ch = The percentage price change for the period starting from the end of the last trading day of the previous year to today's closing price.

1-Yr %Ch = The percentage price change based on today's closing price and the closing price one year ago.
